Marres is looking for a team of curators (minimum two people) for the fifth edition of Marres Currents. Launched in 2013, Marres Currents is a group exhibition showcasing works from recently graduated artists from a dozen academies in Belgium, Germany and the South of the Netherlands. Marres realizes with this project its ambition to develop an international network both for young curators, starting artists and for participating academies. After four editions, Marres Currents is a secure platform for young artists and curators. 80 artists from twelve academies realized and showed works, participated in meetings and gave presentations about their practice. 10 young international curators have given their early careers a boost by participating in the project.

Requirements

We are looking for curators that enjoy working closely with young artists, have a good feel for production work, a keen eye on logistic and organizational needs, good writing skills, and a lot of time in June and early July to visit the many graduation shows involved.
